Hi there, I'm Sarah, and I'm a compassionate, trauma-informed psychotherapist in London, SW11.

You might find yourself here because you are feeling miserable or are having difficulties that seem insurmountable. You might feel confused, angry or depressed, or maybe you're unable to sleep, feeling constantly anxious and stressed, or even ashamed and unworthy.

I specialise in helping people who, like you, might be suffering due to past or present trauma, including PTSD, and C-PTSD.

I also help with anxiety and stress, depression and/or problems in your intimate personal relationships. I offer you a safe space where you can come to talk about how you're feeling, and we can gently explore what's upsetting or difficult.

There is no 'one size fits all' approach, because you are unique, and so is your life and your feelings, so we will work together to gain a deeper understanding of what's going on for you. With 35+ years of lived experience, I aim to soothe, empathise, inform and empower you to the life you deserve.

I can see you at my home practice in Clapham Common, SW11 or online.

I aim to help all those who identify as female, male and non-binary; I am LGBTQIA+ allied, open and sincere.

Please feel free to email me or drop me a message on 07935 168 139 and we can book in a no-fee, no-obligation call together.

What is therapy?

People often ask, 'Am I doing therapy right?', but there's no set way to 'do' it, apart from having regular sessions and a desire to 'feel better'. Initially it can be whatever you need, whether that’s to vent, to ‘brain dump’, to question safely, to mourn, to express things you can't to others or to finally get some positive, compassionate attention.

After a while it can become a place of unexpected discovery where you might find comfort, relief and happiness, perhaps a feeling of freedom and of new found peace, understanding and abundance – there’s no definitive description.

Talking things through with an empathetic professional in a welcoming, reflective and confidential space can really help, becoming your place to safely explore how you are feeling – without judgement or fear of reproach.

Maybe think of it as a consistent, reliable rhythm; a gentle beat which allows you to finally find out exactly where you come in.

“It's okay to be you”

Reaching out might feel daunting and perhaps a bit scary at first, so I recommend a free chat with no obligation, to see how it might be to work with me.

How does it work?

After our free initial chat, we can arrange a time to either meet up in person, or online, at a time suitable for you for an ‘initial consultation’. Here, I will take some basic details about you and tell you more about my therapy work, and you can ask any questions you have.

“Your space, at your pace”

Mainly it will be for you to tell me about what’s been upsetting you, bothering you, or destroying your life, in confidence, and we can start to build a therapeutic relationship together where you are safe and appreciated.

We can then set up regular meetings, in person or online, at the same time and place each week. Each session is 50 minutes which aims to become a consistent safe space for you in your life; it's your space, at your pace.
